A friend of mine needs a good quality small MD recorder. He's an opera singer and wants to be able to record his coaching sessions. His budget is roughly $200-300. What are some good models he should consider and where should he order online from??
    Thanks,

    Todd

AIWA makes a wonderful portable MD. Sony does too. All within his budget.

I would mosey on down to J&R. Is your friend in NY or close to NYC? Highly recommended.

Otherwize, he can order from their website, www.jandr.com and maybe take a look at the recording portables, they may have the PRO models.

I think we should just head to J&R and see what they have. We both just have crazy schedules. He just started rehearsals for the new season at the New York City Opera...

Don't knock the units made by Sharp either. I have a portable and a home deck.
A good choice for blank MD's and etc is www.minidisco.com
