Record Store Day RSD 2019

The Crow Original Soundtrack!!!!

 

I just did a search for that on the web and can't find anything other than what is on the French list - The QuietLife/Life In Tokyo ep. I wonder what the other tracks are.

 

Interesting to see Daughter - Before The Storm (video game soundtrack to Life Is Strange: Before The Storm) gets reissued again and then there's the Battlefield V video game soundtrack. Also, very cool to see the Lost in Translation soundtrack finally get a reissue on double LP.

Not too many that I'd be interested other than the Sortilege, Motorhead, and Venom releases.

 

Judging by the French list there are a lot of 7'' singles to keep a 52 year old man very happy.

 

"Grateful Dead - Warfield Theater"? Didnt last Fall's RSD have a JGB from Warfield? Anyone have more info?

Holy S***...Lou Reed - Ecstasy!!!

 

I wonder if that is a mistake and should read Fillmore West. I was under the impression they were going to release all four dates from the 1969 Fillmore West shows each RSD.

 

So excited to finally get a copy of the lost in translation soundtrack on vinyl!

 

Are we to assume that Yes s/t is a picture disc?

 

Nice. Where you see this? Thing about Lou Reed is you have to wait 1 year before buying his releases. The bins stay full and prices plummet. Still waiting to grab last years live set.

 

The list on page 12. I grabbed Animal Serenade on eBay a month or two after RSD for a pretty reasonable price...But yeah I'm sure it's even more reasonable now.

 

Who was this for? People who were in their 50's in 1967? "Oh good, those Beach fellas finally made a new gramophone recording, Alice, crank the Ford, we're going to town!"

 

Nice list, although I am missing the stars of recent RSDs - those wonderful jazz releases from Resonance Records.

From the list, I might be tempted to pick up the Fela Kuti/Roy Ayers release, Music of Many Colours. The Mastodon set also sounds interesting - apparently it's a set of 7"s in tribute to their late manager. With the Stairway refererence, this could be some interesting leftfield stuff.

Alt Astral Weeks and Alt Fleetwood Mac sound interesting as well. I know the Mac releases are basically rehashing the CD bonus material, but they are exemplary in execution. Alt Tango in the Night is a favorite in my household.

 

I own it but no idea why. Impulse buy.

 

The only thing I see so far from the France list that's exciting (in my humble opinion) is the acoustic version of Prefab Sprout's Steve McQueen.

Will be interested to see what else is added.

 

Freaking out we might get an astral weeks similar and of the same quality as the alt. Moondance....that’s pretty insane.

 

Are alternative tracks available on CD for the entire tracklist?

 

I think only two alternates are out there which along with fact that this is astral weeks we’re talking about is really really exciting.

Does anyone know what's up with the stones She's a rainbow? Straight reissue? Sleeve? Pic disc? Color vinyl? Etc.

 

Wonder what material is on the J. Buckley release. Also The Who title, 2LP, which was first mentioned by a forum member via someone who works closely for the band. The Astral Weeks release I guessed at some months ago so would like my free BRush-inscribed promo copy please ! This RSD list is already getting too rich for my blood!

 

This might be a stupid question, but is there an online outlet to purchase RSD titles? Since I don't live within 50 miles of a participating record store, this is my first year participating fully in RSD without someone grabbing a title for me.
