Rega Exact - service for non-dealer cart.

I purchased a Rega Exact cartridge from a well-reviewed eBay vendor. It has an issue where the outer metal part of the shell isn't seated correctly and it can actually come into contact with the vinyl in some situations where the record has warps.

The vendor has offered to take it back and make it right but I am convinced that the Chinese Customs people are going to add $$ and it may not be worth it in the end to return it.

I have zero experience shipping something to Hong Kong. If anyone could offer advice on that, that would would be cool.

Does anyone know a technician here in the States who could fix that sort of thing and ensure that the cart. is within Rega spec.?

The NA distributors are great but they are contractually forbidden from working on a cartridge bought outside their region.
