It reminds me of when Page published an album with Coverdale and shortly thereafter there was the meeting of Page and Plant.

The thing that always put me off with the Crowes was Chris's voice. Got on my nerves. So I'll be interested to hear how this band sounds.

Bit of a prick he may be, the guy has a great set of pipes! One of the best IMO.

Yes, he's an excellent singer but not to my taste. After two or three songs he wears me out.

I don't think they have released the cause of death, but 59 is far too young no matter what it was.

    That is so very sad.
    RIP Eddie.

My thoughts are with the rest of the Crowes.

I may be the odd one out here but I prefer Chris & Rich's solo work to their Black Crowes output. Just say in' :hide:

R.I.P. Mr. Hawrysch. My sympathy to his family, biological and musical. Awfully sad news. One of the reasons that the Crowes sounded the way they did.

RIP Eddie Harsch. What a great soulful player!
I think I'll listen to Descending now.

any updates / insights into Gorman's lack of interest ? or was he not asked ? Either way very stoked and there on opening night.. just was curious if Gorman has spoken about this at all..

Also, VERY interesting that John Hogg (Hookah Brown lead singer with Rich) now part of the group.

Setlist is going to be very interesting !

I've not seen any quotes from Gorman but my guess is that he's at the point where he's cool with settling back just doing his Steve Gorman Sports radio/podcast show. Very good show it is too.

Can't wait for tomorrow! After Ed passed, Crowesbase has a streaming tribute mix that I missed - did anyone willing to share capture it? Thanks!
