Too much great work to remember him simply as "John". RIP

Also on mine, on too many scenes. He had a kind of peculiar face that made him perfect for the role of John, it was shocking (at the time) that behind that face there was a lizard.
He was ver underrated actor that deserved more and better roles.
    He will be sorely missed.

He looked and acted like the spokesperson for an insurance ad. Trustworthy. A politician. "Your in good hands with the Visitors......"

I didn't recognize the name but couldn't mistake the face. He really had a successful career that many actors would love to have.

  16. I’m surprised they never cast the two in a project playing brothers.

I sent condolences to Jane Badler on TWITTER! Thrilling to my high school self!

He was one of THOSE character actors like Simon Oakland or Leslie Nielsen. You knew their faces but who they were to us was who they were playing. Rest in peace Richard Herd of the great american network TV repertory co.

Have you seen Richard Herd in the original two V mini-series', Mikaela? They were a bit before your time, so to speak... but very highly recommended... "Oh the crown, well enjoy your reign, Diana... queen of a poisoned realm". What a class act and a great character actor... R.I.P. All the old thespians haven't died, they've just moved on to another stage...

Btw; it's great to see your avatar back ;)...
