RIP. A former coworker of mine told me about how he would hang out, sometimes for hours, with the video game section employees of the Marin City, CA Best Buy and he was down to earth, just talking about gaming. Great talent.

 

Beyond sad. I remember when he first came on the scene what a refreshing comic he was. I really am at a loss for words on this one.

 

A brilliant individual who translated a lot of humanity onto the screen. May he be at peace.

I can't believe this! This is devastating! I loved his work and was a fan of him for decades. He is a legendary actor! What a loss! This is just shocking! RIP. I feel bad for the rest of his family and friends.

I was fortunate enough to have HBO, back in the seventies..... I still remember seeing his 'hurricane'-style stand-up... of course, none of us knew what coke was.... he just thought we had seen the funniest thing ever!
