Robinella & The CC String Band

Has anyone ever heard these guys?
I just saw them open for Poco at The Rams Head in Annapolis
and copped all three of their CD's after their set
Poco sold the place out and their fans wanted to rock but they sure did pay attention to these kids from Knoxville and their bluegrass/swing/jazz sound.
RobinElla sings a little like Maria Muldaur and plays acoustic guitar. There is an electric jazz guitar, upright bass, violin and mandolin. Songs are nicely crafted and very well performed. These kids can flat play. Almost every solo received a nice applause. I really recommed them.

NPR had a program on this group yesterday, and this exposure made the CD shoot straight to the top on Amazon's list, which made me search out some samples of their music. I immediately went and picked this up, and can recommend this to anyone who likes acoustic/bluegrass/country with a jazz flair. Throw in some Emmylou Harris and Nickleback. Highly recommended!!
