I heard from a reliable source that a reissue on colour vinyl is indeed coming out.

I’ve ordered one , can always cancel later on when details emerge. It looks like it will be an official release by UMC/Decca looking at the details, hopefully a hardback book this time and inserts with the LP’s and poster with LIB, probably too much to ask all that, be interesting to see what it entails.

 

Good points. Also, I immediately received my “auto-rip” mp3 download from Amazon, confirming its vinyl (my other concern was it may have been CDs).

 

Any other details you can share mate from the source?

 

If I got it right, the set should be identical to the one released in 2016 with the exception of the vinyl being colour this time around.

 

Hopefully they update the
Package to the quality it deserves, the jackets in my cd box are washed out, the booklet covering the whole decade featured only photos that looked taken from the same day sometime in 65. Also there’s a lot of double up, just remove the US versions and put all the stray tracks on another LP to save everyone some money. Cds sounded great though.

 

Sold my 1964-1969 ABKCO box to raise some moving funds, so absolutely jumped on this preorder. Hopefully it's real.

 

I took Fremer's advice years ago and bought VG or VG- US mono originals. Played back on a mono cart they sound pretty good.

 

I missed the 1964-71 box if it's any consolation. It's impossible to keep up these days.

 

Also a pre order here. Hate coloured vinyl but missed out first time round...

Yeah I’m starting to go down the route of buying some originals in the future, I’ve finally got round to buying a LIB mono UK first press which was pretty close to NM all round, that will do for a while.

 

Great sound quality on this box. I 'only' bought the CD box as it was so good, I didn't bother shelling out for vinyl.
Packaging could be better but.....SQ rules the day.

Hope the color vinyl sounds better than the RSD More Hot Rocks, but I’ll probably jump on this, too.

 

Pre-ordered! No relation but makes me wonder if we will have a chance to see the Beatles Mono Box again!?

 

I shelled out for the Japanese box when it first came out. Was it worth it? I didn’t analyze…just loved the look and feel of the 7” covers.

 

I just noticed the listing is at £273 but when you check out the price drops to £227.96. Not sure why, but I will take it!

 

They removed VAT, most likely, if you’re in the US.
