    Take A Chance With Me

The 3 UK Singles, and by far the best songs on the album IMO

Actually my fave Roxy song ever is Take A Chance With Me, it made such a great single and sounded great on the radio.

I've done something similar though I placed it at the end. Always Unknowing would've fitted nicely into the album.

Brutal poll, you would pick on my all time favorite album.

The first two picks were easy. More Than This, favorite song ever. True To Life, great deep cut. From there it is nearly impossible, like choosing a favorite child. Had to go with To Turn You On but it could have been any of the others.

The SACD has a 5.1 mix that is stunning. Highly recommend it if you can find it. Seems that there are not a lot available and they are rather expensive.

according to the "country life" wiki write-up, the jagger thing is a common misconception as the album was recorded in july and august of 1974, meaning that the lyric/song was probably written even earlier, while ferry didn't meet jerry hall until 1975.

Yes, the surround mix is incredible, no surprise that it’s done by Davies and Clearmountain. Clearmountain quoted saying it was the most meaningful thing he has ever done.

    I treasure my SACD.

I chose the three singles — but Avalon is one of those flawless albums where every song plays a leading role. I almost picked 'Tara' as I think it's the perfect album/career closer.
