I am curious on what is an acceptable packaging method for shipping an opened vinyl box set with a slipcover like this:

My main concern is preventing seam splits. I have received boxes like this where all of the jackets were split during transit. There's not enough room inside the slipcover to take the records out of their sleeves and store them inside separately from their jacket.

Right now, I am leaning towards taking all of the albums out of the slipcover, putting them in poly sleeves w/ the records stored outside, adding cardboard for protection on the front/back, and filling the box with something to prevent bending. Maybe I'm overthinking this.

I am curious how you have packaged sets like these.

    Thanks

I've never done it, but I would be more inclined to take the records out of the covers and put the covers back in the slipcase. Then make a "package" of the records with cardboard on each side to protect them, line that block up with the outside of the slipcase, and ship them like that with extra padding all around.
