Are you sure it isn't intentional? Rappers use that as part of their signature vocals.

"not pretty" as in lots of popping? Or something else?

It's hard to tell for certain, but this looks more like a D224 to me than a C28 or C60:

As far as the C28/C60 go, if they were used live it may have been more likely that an omni capsule was used, which would have cut down on popping significantly.

I don't think the Sinatra mic pictured on the previous page is an AKG C28c. The C28c has a 1" diameter, and uses an adaptor to accommodate the smaller-diameter, 3/4" CK28 capsule. The C60, though, has a 3/4" diameter body, so the capsule fits more "flush."

C28c body, with adaptor and 3/4" (CK1-s??) capsule to the left:

Below, the CK60 with 3/4" capsule:

The WS60 windscreen appears to attach directly to the 3/4" capsule. (See above, but I'm not 100% sure it is properly installed.) If this were a C28, the rim at the base of the windscreen would be much closer to "flush" with the larger, 1" mic body, correct?
