Sliders Movie/Reboot

The idea of a Sliders movie had been mentioned a few years back.
Even supported by series star Jerry O'Connell.



Recently there has also been talks of a reboot, again with the support of Jerry O'Connell.

Does anyone think this will ever get past the talking stage?

Surely there is some alternative world where this has already happened.

And Michael Bay is President (and, the wars, while inept, are spectacular!)

 

I would want back Jerry O'Connell & John Rhys-Davies

 

Pick up the series where they left off. Just make the characters older and hopefully wiser.

 

no thanks I never liked any of the replacements. a reboot from halfway through S3 would be great !

I pretend that the season after Arturo bites it doesn’t exist and they found another version of him.

 

This goes into it a bit...

When the sliders left the Earth in ‘Post Traumatic Slide Syndrome’, which Professor Arturo went with them – the original or the local double?

...but I believe (as many Sliders fans do) that the real Arturo got left on that world, and his double went with the sliders from then until his death.
At the end of the episode ‘Post Traumatic Slide Syndrome’ the Arturo that misses the slide says "Oh, My God"
I believe this is where they should start the reboot.

I agree with this. It had a good run, but I'm sure there's plenty more tales to tell. The beauty of the concept.

Wow, this is the first I’ve heard of this. Did this reboot ever go anywhere? I’m a big fan of the first couple of seasons.

 

last I heard about it they were trying to figure out who actually owned it !
