There’s an excellent CD soundtrack for Radley Metzger’s MISTY BEETHOVEN that includes an interview with musical director George Craig, who ran the library music company that provided the tracks for the film. He also talks about the world of library music and how it’s licensed for film, TV and commercials. Fascinating stuff!

    Does this count?

    Not hard-core but a soft-core pseudo documentary

Picture from my collection. I admit I grabbed this one when I saw it contained the "original" release of Mah-Na-Mah-Na.

    description from wikipedia:

Sweden: Heaven and Hell (Italian: Svezia, inferno e paradiso) is an Italian mondo film from 1968 directed by Luigi Scattini. The English language print was narrated by British actor Edmund Purdom.

The film which is made up of nine segments focuses on different aspects of sexuality in Sweden such as lesbian nightclubs, porn films, the swinging lifestyle of married couples and the sex education of teenagers. The film also examines drug addiction, alcoholism and suicides in Sweden.

The film also featured the debut of the song "Mah Nà Mah Nà" by Piero Umiliani, later made famous by The Muppets.

Technically, could we say, "...later appropriated and popularized by Muppets fans."? I most clearly remember "Mah Na Mah Na" getting some novelty radio play (in Indiana!) on a lark, in the '60s, before I'd even encountered the Jim Henson "Mad Bomber" routine. I seem to recall a "Mad Bomber" routine using "Chansons d'Amour", with the bomb exploding, and the Bomber verbalizing, "La-dah-dah-dah-daaahhh"!, every 8 measures or so.

Unlike apparently everyone else in this thread, I watch and enjoy pornographic movies for the pornographic content.

That said, my friend Cricket, who worked at a number of x-rated theaters, was the only person I knew who collected x-rated film soundtrack albums before I found this thread. She particularly enjoyed the Devil In Miss Jones one.

Fascinating thread. Yes, I do think the VCR possibly dillutd cinematic artistic value in X rated films that existed ans was propagating in the 70s.

    Also look up Reiko Ike
    Actress and singer
Famous lp and cover which was reissued as originals would be costly.

I will go a step further and say that DVD popularity has stilted the better scanned film possibilities because and has made way for streaming only options (along with all the other factors).

I appreciate companies like Distribpix and Vinegar Syndrome preserving adult cinema in the best way possible, but I wish more investment was possible to prove my theory that vintage adult cinema has a place in the popularity of preserving a legit art form.

Adult films were banned in the UK until the late 90s, when the arrival of the internet made that unworkable. As a result, things like adult soundtracks seemed quite forbidden and exotic.
An internet adult website block is going live in the UK later this year.

Surely they can't be trying to block all of it, that's just nuts. Will adults be able to opt in? It better not be both directions - some British adult video producers are among my favorites.

There's going to be an opt in, but you will have to use a credit card, and give your name and address.
Last time adult movies were banned, we also had mainstream films like Reservoir Dogs and Natural Born Killers being banned, so I expect we will see similar 'mission creep' this time.
Here's a BBC link about the block itself:

It'll be interesting to see what happens. They have already delayed from April to 'the end of the year.' The idea of going in to a local shop to buy a pass seems ludicrous, but we'll see.

The only logical thing I can come up with, is that, anticipating World War 3, Her Majesty's government wants to make sure the United Kingdom once again leads the world in computer technology, as it did in the last one. And that this is all about providing the necessary motivation to 14 year old boys to learn how to circumvent firewalls.

If only that were true. If they can get this block to work, I suspect we'll soon see blocks on 'fake news' sites too.

A friend of mine insisted that I install a nanny block on her 13 year old sons computer. I told her the only result would be someone who got really good getting around his parents.

    Let me help you out.
Also does not feature Peppa Pig, Ronald Mcdonald, Speedy Gonzalez, Porky Pig (don't let his stage name fool you!) but may feature Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and past or present Disney Stars that decide to expand their career with crossover exposure in such a way!

Inside Seka rocks and so does this compilation.

  22. I couldn't agree more with the sentiments expressed about Il Corpo by Piero Umiliani. Just a terrific album. The Ike Reiko and Pinky Violence collections shouldn't be missed. Unlike the full-on porno movies of the former, the pinky violence films weren't really porno. Many of those films are just plain fun to watch for the karate biker scenes. Now this movie, Il Corpo, I don't care whether I ever see it, but I thoroughly enjoy the score. It's unlike many soundtracks in that the musical themes don't repeat themselves ad nauseum. I totally agree with the one person who stated that many of these movies were very lame and that the soundtracks were what sparkled .... and not the silly waffling mounds of sheets and flesh.

been posted? I love this bizarre song...the lyrics aren't exactly dylanesque but it has a real euro-pop circa 1968 feel....anyone know who did the music? deeper and deeper (stop giggling) is another interesting track, singer?

When I first saw this at a local electronics store, I thought 'who in the world would feel the need to have this?'. Now I actually listened to the compilation series via Spotify and contribute to this thread... my-my
