    Hi,

We're moving to a new apartment and I'm redesigning my listening room. The room contains books & records, so there are a number of bookcases and record storage shelves and I'm thinking what's the best way to place them in-relation to the speakers. For sure bookcases & record shelves are going to be against the walls in the area between the speakers and listening seat to avoid reflections, however I am not sure whether I should also place record storage behind the speakers: my speakers require at least 1m vs the back wall, is it better to leave that wall empty or is there an advantage of having records & books filling the wall behind the speakers? the distance to the speakers in both cases is going to be the same. Any thoughts are much appreciated.
