Sugden a21se stage two phono?

Anyone have any experience with it? Reviews are much harder to find than for their amps. Is it decent in that price range? Are others like graham slee, iphono, Lehmann etc sub $1k going to be significantly better?

I’m also interested in this as I have a Sugden A21 Sig Se on its way to me. I wonder how it compares to other preamps like the op asked and specifically if it’s an upgrade to my Dynavector P75 MK IV, with 20x2 LOMC. Wonder if there’s any synergy with sugden phono and the sugden amp. Someone one here must have tried one?

 

No experience with this unit. Remember that any company/designer has their own philosophy and priorities when making a phono stage. Sometimes it's not a case of "better", but "different". The cartridge you plan to use (OP doesn't mention this) may factor in your choice of phono stage.

Is there any way you can do an in home trial of the Sugden and compare it against other units you are considering?
