Ooh, I like this! Just wishlisted it on Bandcamp so I remember to give the rest a listen. I should spend more time in that best new albums thread, but I almost always have something playing when I’m posting here.

For anyone who likes metal with their shoegaze, Alcest’s other albums are very good too but sound pretty different. I also highly recommend other “blackgaze” bands like Amesœurs, Les Discrets, Lantlôs, and Deafheaven.

Cool recommendations. Deafheaven's most recent has some moments of very melodic shoegaze. I love this band.

Well you might already know about this, but one of the originals belatedly released this self-titled album in 2017, and it is genuinely great. Been listening to it a lot over the last 6 months...

If we are going back a few years, one of my big favorites is the Dead Horse One debut Without Love We Perish, probably said a lot around here about it, but this French band's debut was produced by Mark Gardener, and as expected has a few nods to Ride and Verve and others from that early shoegaze era ...

The early Moon King EPs and debut album are great...after that, aargh, what happened? Definitely check out if you like Lush. Just check this tune out.
