Not as tall as Randy Weston, but Dexter Gordon was 6’6”. In the classical music category, composer Ludwig Spohr (a little after Beethoven) was 6’7” - he must have towered over his contemporaries.

 

Won't be the tallest guy in here, but isn't Hozier 6'6"?

 

He’s only 6’3 but Ric Ocasek came to mind first. His being thin makes him look taller.

 

I met Paul Stanley about 20 years ago (sans boots) and seemed tall-ish.
I would imagine Gene Simmons is tall enough without the boots.

 

T-bone Burnett is tall.

 

My Mom loved his music and got to meet him, Don Williams. Didn't they call him the "Gentle Giant" or something close?

 

Yes, Scholz is 6'5". And the other guitarist in BOSTON (Gary Pihl) is 6'3".

(Although from the looks of the picture below, I'd say that either Gary is 6'2" or Tom is 6'6".)

Although he wasn't a professional musician, the late Gordon "Gungi" Paterson was a very, very tall and beloved figure in music at 6' 11".

He was a "Front of House" sound engineer, the person out there in the audience at the mixing board. I first learned of him as the mixer for Kate Bush's first tour, and I desperately want to find a picture of him with the tiny Kate, who is something like 5' 2". Throughout his career, his system check song was Kate's Babooshka, which he played over every system. So if you ever were in the parking lot outside Ozzfest and wondered what that was, that was Gungi. He worked with acts like Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, A Perfect Circle, Tears For Fears, and Fiona Apple.

The Screaming Trees were a pretty tall band, Marl Lanegan is about 6', Barrett Martin a little taller, maybe 6'2" or so and the Conner boys 6'4" and just big guys.

Bradford Cox from Deerhunter is over 6"

Joe Jackson is 6'2"

 

I don't know their official stats, but Doug Ingle (Iron Butterfly) and Alan Parsons are pretty tall.

 

Country singer Hawkshaw Hawkins was 6' 5", great singer, he was married to Jean Shepard, Hawkins died in the plane crash that also took Patsy Cline and Cowboy Copas.
