Just putting this out there in the hope that others may have an answer...... Anyone having issues with the gapless playback setting on the Tempotec V1 Digital Audio Player ? Certain live albums are not gapless on Certain tracks. I've tested the albums in question on a couple of other players and on my laptop in Foobar2000 and they all play fine. The offending albums are ripped using the exact same software as my entire collection which is fully playable on the V1 without any issues.
I've not a lot of experience with varied DAPs, but I have observed that the few DAPs I've tinkered with occasionally flub the gapless maneuver when playing FLAC files. I suspect it's because the processors in most DAPs are inefficient in the decompression stage of processing the FLAC format. I notice it more on hi-res files. So, when ripping live albums and albums with segued tracks, I rip to WAV. Then I detect no gaps.
