Isn't this it, restrung?
A good example of Paul "posing with glasses", see his demonstrative finger! (George is to Rory's left too)
Bootle is a separate town to the north of the city of Liverpool which has been in the metropolitan Liverpool area since 1974. Until 1974 the local police was "Liverpool & Bootle constabulary" but since 1974, "Merseyside Police".
her photos are really stunning, she's such an enigma from the beatles past
There's no easy answer...
Thanks, any reference that the town of Bootle was an influence to the band's ultimate name The Beatles?
Went to a Beatles convention in Berlin in 2004 (?). Crossed the parking lot when I noticed a woman was about to cross paths with me and I thought to myself "that's what Astrid could look like today" and chuckled inside. She went on to hold the entrance door open for me and was immediately greeted "Astrid, over here!" by the promoter. Closest I ever got to a Beatle person in everyday life.
Ward, I'm worried about the Beaver.
Astrid 's portraits of Stuart and Klaus. She had a signature style.
Do any photos exist of Neil Aspinall with Mona Best?
Britishers may remember the spoof of The Beatles that The Goodies did in the 70s called "The Bootles", but that was as far as it went. Like The Rutles after it (The Goodies and Pythons were friends, colleagues, room mates etc) their George was silent, in this case, a cardboard cut out!
What kind of photos you lookin fer?
Yeah, long before this picture thread though, I’ve always. found it interesting how many different “looks” Stu had , over a fairly short period of time.
A brief clip here

Good to see you pick your Bootles carefully.
I've never come across any photos of them together which makes sense due to the unconventional nature of their relationship.
Whenever I see this photo I think he has either broke a collar bone and wears a sling behing his neck to hold it in place (because that is exactly how my brother looked when he broke his) or he has some football gear underneath his shirt (unlikely).
Yes, that is it. You are right. But there are two pictures of them in the Casbah I don`t think they come from the same gig (look at the way Paul wears his shirt collar above the jacket in one and under it in the other). So there is one where no Stu is in sight and it is re-strung and and one where Stu plays bass and Paul his Rosetti and in this one you can not tell wether it is restrung. That is what I tried to say.
I love Astrid's work but somehow this early studio session doesn't quite work for me, the band seem stiff, maybe Astrid felt uncomfortable technically/creatively stifled in a studio setting (although she was trained in it) Maybe they were hung over/tired/frustrated/out of ideas..Still great tho..
Candid. Candid photography...he asked him knowingly *nudge nudge* *wink wink*
