What do you think are the best back-to-back pair of albums ever cut?

Just listened to Green River and Willy & the Poors back to back...awesome stuff.

Some others that come to mind:

Elvis Costello & the Attractions: This Year's Model + Armed Forces
John Lennon: Plastic Ono Band + Imagine
David Bowie: Hunky Dory + Ziggy Stardust
Van Morrison: Astral Weeks + Moondance
Rolling Stones: Sticky Fingers + Exile On Main Street
Beggar's Banquet + Let It Bleed

    Hi,

Grateful Dead: American Beauty & Workingman's Dead

Hunter/Garcia songwriting was never widely appreciated due to weak vocals.

Wasn't the "less than stellar" Rattle and Hum released in between those two titles?

    Uncle AL,

My fault! The list was for albums released back-to-back. My eyes were failing me. Didn't catch that too well! I was listing two albums that if placed back to back would be a one-two-punch. You're right. Rattle and Hum was in between. Thanks for keeping me on my toes!!!

    Let me try this again...

Bob Seger: Night Moves/Stranger In Town ;)

A lot of good stuff has been mentioned, so I can only add two:

Zep - Houses of the Holy/Physical Graffiti
