I thought Season 4 wasn't supposed to be available until tomorrow... All 10 episodes are up and ready to go on Amazon Prime.
It must be very popular because all I get is constant buffering @ 5:14 pm Saturday 12/14/2919. All other prime videos work fine.
Finished it off a couple of nights ago. Very good! Much more streamlined writing this season. You can have a drinking game with how often Shohreh Aghdashloo drops an F Bomb! Probably going to watch it all again from season 1 as that was such a slow burner probably some stuff we missed or didn't pick up on at the time. Also...this show has the most striking or shocking 'out the airlock' sequences ever!
Works perfectly for me I find the pacing to be different this season. It took awhile to get used to. I'm sure that's because they have more freedom on Amazon Prime. I was disappointed that Amos has fewer good one liners this season... For a guy who I figured would just be hired muscle I felt previously he always had the most interesting insights. Any episode where someone gets put out the airlock is a good episode... I used to say the same about the reimagined Battlestar: Galactica. No... I haven't read the books.
Just finished 11 episodes of season 2...First episode started last night....Yeah, not enough sleep now....
I hope they integrate the novel for season five and the one after for the same season. I found the novel that would be the basis for season five boring.
Finished off all 10 episodes, very nice arc. Shohreh Aghdashloo is so good, I am hyper-focused during any scene in which she appears. Best chops of the actors in the series I think.
Just saw the new Star Wars movie, one of the first trailers was for The Expanse. And, another trailer, The Call of the Wild starring Harrison Ford, also had Cara Gee in what appears to be a prominent roll.
Spoiler: If you haven't read the books, don't read this. Well we now start to see the series morph into a sort of darkness that gradually entered the books. Pretty soon some of the outers will be dropping rocks on earth and the reason for stealing Martian space equipment and ships will be told. The main crew seem to be broadcasting this as well as, showing the weariness of maintaining such a big machine by themselves. A good season where the main characters are more subdued, weary and mistake prone. I like the way it depicts the differing outlooks and loyalties of the settlers and the company troops. I am also reminded of the old cartographers phrase when mapping unexplored territory "here there be dragons". The desperation of the settlers was so great that they took a chance and may not survive. Of course, we have seen this in our pasts and we see this everyday in the world's south to north migration patterns.
