The 24/2 show is only available complete in the old video feed source, wouldn't say it's excellent quality, but very listenable of course. But to hear the whole show mixed from the multitracks would be something else entirely. Voodoo Child and Little Wing on In The West sound much much better than the video source to me.

Seems like a huge missed opportunity not to stream/release a blu ray during isolation time...

As the old saying goes, they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

I’ve lost track of how many different versions of the RAH show I bought hoping for the most complete song list. The worst one was the one that substituted other live versions for the ‘missing’ songs (Hear My Train from Concerts etc.). The Embers will do for now if you can’t find anything else

Can't see why Covid would make any difference as to when "Albert" may or may not hit the market. Iirc the idea was to flood the cinemas before any physical or other release, and they are all closed at the mo. Your idea (nice as it sounds) is a non starter.

That sounds rather like this French release on the Vogue label in 1979:

Opening Jam (Sunshine of your Love)
    Little Ivey (Little Wing)
    Room Full of Mirrors
    Fire
    C Blues (Bleeding Heart)
    Purple Haze
    Wild Thing
    Voodoo Chile (Slight Return).

Many other bands are streaming shows and even selling DVD/blu ray. Concerts from the living room.

You don't think people would have paid to finally see this show? During the boredom of isolation?

But regarding the greed of the principles involved, common sense is a non-starter.

They could release this at drive-ins instead of theatres

That's the video feed source I was talking about. It's not from the multitracks. Excellent is subjective, it sounds a bit better then the Ember albums but not near the multitrack source used on In the West imo.

So many events and quite a few more concerts are now being rescheduled into mid-2021 or later next year now.

The paragraphs below come from Professor Stoned's research. The Feather Records version linked on Discogs is the CD-R release Eric Burdon sold for a while in 1998 (referenced below).

Much has been written about this concert. It was recorded for the purpose of being part of a film about the JHE which was never released (save for one public screening in 2019). The audio of the show, however, has been well-circulated. The original producers of the film, Jerry Goldstein and Steve Gold, had an accountant working for them called Bernhard Solomon who obtained a copy of the second half of the concert in 1970. He licensed excerpts of this tape to various record labels and managed to convince them he was the sole rightsholder and owner of the material, a claim for which he had no evidence. The man must have had some nerve because until shortly before his death in 2007, while battling both the Hendrix estate and Jerry Goldstein in court, his versions of the Albert Hall recording were *still* in print on various labels.
Jerry Goldstein also owned a recording of the Nagra mix (for the cameras), except his version was in stereo and this is the recording that Solomon managed to copy. He was not the only one; Eric Burdon also had a copy of the complete Goldstein tape and he began to distribute the complete set on 2 CDRs through mail-order in 1998, crediting himself as the producer. This was quickly stopped by a cease and desist letter from EH's lawyers. Bernhard Solomon then took the opportunity to release the complete set by combining Burdon's tape with his own, most notably on a Charly Records 3CD set from 2002.
Burdon's and Solomon's tapes are quite similar but the sound on Burdon's tape deteriorates badly at the end.

What others here have stated is accurate. The stereo source releases we have are certainly listenable but pale in comparison to the mixes from the multitracks as found on the original Hendrix In The West.

Well I sure hope Hendrix @ RAH is showing on a screen near any of you....but even non-concert events have been delayed again into Autumn of this year or later no one knows how it will turn out...

Little Wing and Voodoo Child are also on the 'Purple Box' set
Stone Free and Bleeding Heart are on the The Jimi Hendrix Conerts
Little Wing and Voodoo Child are only on the original release of In The West(1972), which got replaced by the EH release(the (2011)used different versions.

At the rate they're going the best we'll be able to hope for will be a 2CD + DVD set sometime in the next five years by which time physical products will be regarded as the crazy things that only Luddites and hoarders still collect.

"but the sound on Burdon's tape deteriorates badly at the end."
I don't think this is the case, of course Jimi is smashing his amps, so maybe that what he's hearing, lol!

"What others here have stated is accurate. The stereo source releases we have are certainly listenable but pale in comparison to the mixes from the multitracks as found on the original Hendrix In The West."
The Feather records is just the raw tape and of course Kramer and crew were able to boost it on In The West, but the raw tape is still very listenable and provides context for the entire show. For Instance Little Wing precedes Voodoo Child during the show, but on In The West they are separated and Voodoo Child comes first, and we don't hear Jimi's comments between the tunes.

I'm hoping we get the full Blu Ray treatment. Blu Ray for the video of all the filmed material they can squeeze in plus the full concert in Blu Ray Audio.

Goldstein should have realised by now (especially with the COVID-19 situation) that he isn't going to make big bucks from a worldwide cinema release (and probably never will). So it's time to finally make a deal with Janie and get this damn thing out while a big part of the Hendrix fan base is still alive and eager.
