I just finished the first season. I like that the episodes are short. It's pretty funny and well acted. Arkin is great as usual.

I loved this series, hope we get a third season. Douglas & Arkin make a fantastic double act, I adored Douglas's daughter and her new boyfriend in season two.

Wow. That's a huge blow for sure. Still looking forward to the third season though.

Arkin was my main reason for watching the show.

Ouch! That’s terrible news. The chemistry/interplay between Douglas and Arkin is the whole thing really. All due respect to Michael Douglas I’m not sure there’s a show without Alan Arkin.

Didn't love the show but enjoyed watching it. Hard to imagine how they will handle the final season without Arkin. I have to think it's going to feel like a different show. A different, quite inferior show.

Great show. Binged all of it. Funny these two guys were in the In-Laws but not the same production.

This was a fun series overall. I wouldn't call it a favorite, but I watched all that was available and enjoyed it. Sorry to hear about Alan Arkin.

I was hoping to see how the Norman/Madelyn story would resolve itself. Eileen’s ghost did say it was she who’d made it happen for them so it was looking bright.

Yeah she did that all right, one of my favourite scenes...

I read in an interview with Michael that she is maybe returning for Season 3. I hope so.

I'm 4 episodes in, and urination seems to be the running joke. Can't wait for the viagra jokes. Michael Douglas plays the middling academic better in Wonder Boys. Arkin is OK in the standard grumpy-old-man role, but otherwise it's a dull show that only a mother (mine, in fact) could love.

Just wait til you get to 60 and have a prostate the size of your head ;) (that might be one of Arkin's lines, now I come to think, been a while since I watched it).

As of right now, it's "very small," per my urologist. Anyway, Michael Douglas standing at a urinal and commenting on other dudes' quality streams is not exactly peak comedy. It might be funnier in a prison setting.

I haven't seen Nancy Travis since So I Married an Axe Murderer. Glad she seems to have it together.

Arkin is nearly 87, we did well to get 2 seasons out of him.

After reading this thread, I recommended this to the wife last night as we'd been searching for something to watch. While looking for this on Netflix, she first came across "I Care a Lot". About ten minutes of that was all it took to switch over to Kominsky. While I was pretty sure I would enjoy it, she enjoyed it as much, if not more than I did. We had to stop after the first three episodes, but I'm sure we'll pick it up again tonight. This show had slipped totally under my radar. Thanks for the thread!

Last season starting soon. I'll moss Arkin, but the writing was so good I'll be tuning in.
Hope DeVito comes back for another cameo

Yesterday's Parade magazine in the Sunday paper mentioned Kathleen Turner will be back for more in Season 3. Based on imdb listings she may be a regular.
