I got all three seasons for $10 a few days ago on VUDU but forgot about it. I will start them tonight after The Great Pumpkin airs.
that's cool! I have them on DVD...wonder if VUDU episodes are HD? did they ever master them in High Def? The DVDs are positively not HD...: ) and to add insult to injury they a Flippers! 3 Seasons worth!
Nope, SD only. The reason I got them on VUDU is because they are flippers and I have never had anything but problems with them.
I know! I always had problems with them...so far we're into 4 eps of the First Season and so far so good...but, I'm expecting trouble!
It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (1966) " I got a rock..." I watch this annually (and A Charlie Brown Christmas)
Regarding "The Addams Family"- I believe that series actually ran only 2 seasons, '64/'65 and '65/'66 IIRC... The way they packaged the DVDs is misleading, splitting two seasons worth of shows into 3 "volumes" was pretty lame on their part... If you read on the back of the case, it says something like "Contains all Volume 1 episodes" or words to that effect and does that for each volume... A bit deceiving, because folks could misread that and think each set is a complete season, when it's not... As far as them being "flippers", I also wish they hadn't done them that way, I would have preferred single sided DVDs too... Luckily, when I watched all of "The Addams Family" a couple years back, I didn't have any issues with them-I hope that they stayed decent and will play issue free the next time I view them... My "Gilligan's Island" flippers all worked well the last time I viewed those too... I never did get all the way thru my seasons of "Kung Fu", but I sure hope they all play well... And back to "The Addams Family", when I viewed the DVDs of them, I was surprised at how little Pugsley and Wednesday are actually in the show... I watched it when it was on in reruns in the 70s and 80s and hadn't seen them since then, and I guess I wasn't paying enough attention back then, because watching them on DVD nowadays showed me just how few episodes those kids are actually a part of... (I remembered them being shown a lot more...)
Great new romantic comedy show, streaming on Amazon Prime. Liked season one, LOVED season two of this show. Alan Arkin is hilarious!
Decided to give Batwoman a shot, never again!!! Pure dreck. In related news, the Superman from the Supergirl series is being given his own show. My least favorite Superman, from the stupid way they do his cape to the fact he's WAY too short and seems to be part grizzly bear in that the dude seems to always have a 5 o'clock shadow. The only positive is I'm pretty sure that all these shows, including Flash, Green Arrow, and Supergirl seem to be purposely aimed at the kids, as it should be!
