The SOPRANOS held my attention from beginning to end, didn't need any of my usual diversions (reading, writing, drawing, cooking, etc) while viewing. First run GETTING ON, 30 ROCK. DERRY GIRLS currently. Maybe The YOUNG ONES, haven't seen it since the 80's.
I Claudius and I Love Lucy! I agree.

Definitely agree regarding Sopranos. Superior writing, direction, acting. Mad Men was great, too.

West World probably is my favorite show running now (3 more seasons).

In comedy, Seinfeld and CYE never left me bored.

    You need to ask?
The Twilight Zone (1959-1964) of course.
    Everybody knows that.

  11. Almost the Sopranos -those couch scenes with Dr. Melfi are dull and boring for me.

I pick Barney Miller! Never a dull moment at the old 12th Precinct.

Problem is, Gorts can't ask others to give examples of closed threads...when we're not the ones who closes them! ;)

By the way, I would have suggested Breaking Bad with all the other like-minded souls, except my wife was at least willing to get through it. Better Call Saul, however, she stopped watching, on the basis that she knew how the characters would turn out because of Breaking Bad, so she couldn't bear to even watch that downward slide. So Saul wins it for me.

The Sopranos, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad immediately spring to mind. They were technically dramas, but weren't boxed in by the confines/limitations of the genre - there could be a musical number, a thrilling action sequence or belly laughs had at the expense of someone who's also a stone cold killer.

...but I still get a kick out of Batman, too!

Not enough musical numbers on the Sopranos. Especially given the title.

Least boring would have to be non-serialized for me, so I'm cool with The Twilight Zone. Love me some Quantum Leap and Dick Van Dyke too.

The new Lost In Space. Somebody seems to be in a life or death situation every five minutes. May not be the greatest show but certainly isn't boring.

One of my favorites too (also never a dull moment in Chicago w/the Hartleys on The Bob Newhart Show).
