My wife has a problem with some of my AC/DC, Angel City, Priest, Bob Mould and Willie and Neil's voices....but she's a good sport about it.

My wife doesn't like The Beatles starting with songs on "Revolver" and continuing to the end of their career.
She likes the Rock and Roll Beatles but the Pop Beatles, Sgt. Pepper on, the drug and political songs don't
work for her. Why did she marry me? lol :)
My wife doesn't like vocalist, as she calls them, she likes singers.
    So, she doesn't like:
Bob Dylan (his voice isn't musical)
    Neil Young (he whines)
    Tom Waits (he just growls)
    Grateful Dead (vocal not musical)
Mick Jagger (can't sustain a tone)

I could list more but I don't want to, these guys are so successful, criticism has no effect on their career.

OH! I forgot... she can't stand Stevie Nicks voice either.
I guess we are lucky to find someone to put up with us...:)

Pantera and Mastodon are not particularly well regarded in my household but when they need to be played they'll be played and that's life.

Same. Seems to be common. Men love it, women hate it.

    Also Joe Jackson “Steppin Out”.

    All below incl sub categories
    - Heavy Metal
    - Prog
    - Classic Rock (with the exceptions The Clash & David Bowie)

WHAT DOES SHE DO LIKE LIKE THEN?
    - The Cure (when I imagine myself trying to sit through "Disintegration" a second time during my lifetime, it will equal total depression)
    - Edith Piaf

There would be so much that the Mrs doesn't like, but I'll give her kudos for the things she does like.

    Dislikes
    Beefheart
    King Crimson
    most Zappa
Metal (but I have gotten her to appreciate Iron Maiden, Dickinson's voice won her over)

    Likes
    Dylan
    Costello
    Bowie

She likes a lot of stuff, but the more anti-social stuff, as listed above, isn't her thing, and that's cool.

I have an album by The Roots that she can't stand. Usually she at least puts up with most of what I listen to without saying anything.

    He detests Steely Dan

Funny thing was he heard Dirty Work with me in the car
Loved it - asked who it was

Yeah it's a David Palmer lead vocal

Evidently Fagen's voice but not his genius doesn't register with him

Evening Of Swing (Has Been Cancelled)-Half Man Half Biscuit, which is awkward as I’d quite like to have it played at my funeral.
