If your speaking to the renewed Outlaws debut with Henry, yes again. If you are speaking to Grey Ghost and Feel The Heat on his solo albums. Another big yes...........
It's hard to make 1 really good album. Two really good albums are impressive. Bands that make 3 really good albums are special. They did that.
Got to play with a local band that does a lot of country rock this past weekend. Too loud. Anyway they let me play some solos on this song with my Les Paul. Glad I did not bring my Strat and was forced to play Hughie's parts. The guy that played Hughie's solos blew my doors off.
Last night I listened to the original Japanese 1986 CD release of Soldiers Of Fortune and I forgot how good this CD sounds. I much prefer Racin’ For The Red Light to Evil, Wicked,Mean And Nasty that appeared on Hittin’ The Road. If anyone is thinking of getting into The Outlaws the first three albums are classics, sadly after that Arista forced the band to change and it wasn’t for the better. Arista was not a happy home for southern rock bands
Yes they were nice enough people. I asked Henry if Chris Anderson had played in Grinderswitch & he though about it a second & said yes & then called Chris over. I also asked Monte about playing in the Henry Paul Band.
Pretty sure I also met David Dix. That was a great tour & time! Still got the shirt which looks almost new. Occasionally I get comments on it when I wear it to a concert or the flea market.
That's fabulous! I wish I still had my NRPS T-Shirt from the original fan club...very nice shirt with the cover on the front of the debut album.
Just remembered that Henry dedicated "Grey Ghost" to RVZ as his widow, Judy, looked on from the back of her venue - Freebird Live in Jax Beach.
