The interview part in pomp where They say something about give anyone a strat does he become Clapton Ect. I think bands in general were getting crap about synthesizers. People just didn't get it. The bands that got it did some magic with them that people take for granite as before them synthesizers were novelty records. We've come a long way with electronics in 50 years. What was once the big money club now anyone can join.
Thanks for the pics @Jerry Horne! Wow! I can see how they felt at odds with the massive crowds getting noisy.
Roger comes off as being over it with how lays into the crowd. I don't blame his frustration, especially with the fireworks going off (especially throughout the tour).
7pm tomorrow (Thursday, UK time) there will be a live talk, and possibly a couple of songs, from the Gilmour family. Primary reason is the launch of a book by Charlie Gilmour, David’s stepson. https://twitter.com/charliegilmour/status/1298572894604320769?s=20
Thanks - these are from Milwaukee but don't think I've seen them before - do you have a link to the source? The other 'family' one you posted is from Cleveland in case you were wondering!
You're welcome, and thanks for the info as well! They were found on a Floyd fan's account on Tumblr, which I unfortunately can't pinpoint as it has been a while since I downloaded it
I remember the first time I heard it, at a chain record store in a mall, and I looked at the TT playing it and saw the non-banded side and knew it was a mind-blower. My buddy's sister said it was better than DSOTM, which I think I agreed. I've owned at least a dozen different copies, my favorites are the US Quad LP, Dutch Blue Vinyl, and the very rare UK Harvest Picture Disc.
Wish You Were Here is my favorite Floyd lp. I never seem to get tired of it. I'll break out the headphones later today and give the hi-res Blu-Ray a spin.
