Not. I have mono lp box and mono cd box, 1971-2016 lp box. Plus all albums in different version plus all vault live lp/dvd dvd/cd etc. i never play 7”. Not my thing. Box looks nice but…
I really doubt it. All these singles and EPs in the box were mono originally so it kind of goes against the “nostalgia retro set” idea to issue the songs in stereo. (I’m assuming the Got Live If You Want It! EP was mono originally also but I’ve never heard that EP)
I’m seeing it for $160 on the Stones retail site. Tempted. The Rolling Stones Singles 1963-1966 (7” Singles Box Set) – ABKCO Music and Records Official Store
If you want sell later is ok. I don’t have a problem with that. But can’t understand people who buys later for big money. Buy box when in print, and ok. I’ll never overpaid anything, if i misted bcs is sold out in few hours, im ok with that. But box like this you can buy at least 6 months before sold out. People now pay Bowie boxes,Stones and Beatles boxes for insane money. Why don’t buy when was in print. I understand young people who become fan after box sold out,but most people don’t buy bcs wait price drop and when they wait, box sold out
I ordered this about a month ago from Amazon France. It was about 130 euros. Still cheaper there than anywhere else I can find
Normally I’d pull the trigger as well but given ABKCO’s current record (no pun) on vinyl pressing quality, I just don’t know…I’d like try waiting on some feedback on this.
Me too. If they use a plant that is GZ related, I’m going to pass. Hopefully, Optimal in Germany pressed the records.
Putting every dollar to my name on wrong speed “Under Assistant,” remix of “19th,” etc. being used here.
I can’t imagine that these will use any sources other than what was used on the CD single sets from 2004.
you should! The energy on that live EP is incredible! And they play much better than they do on the US LP of the same name (entirely different recordings).
There was the 2016 The Rolling Stones In Mono Box, remastered by Bob Ludwig, which could be ordered with a bunch of 9 7“singles (with replica covers from all over the world). I assume these remasters would be the source for the new set.
