It was recorded as "All I Need to Know" by such artists as Bill Medley and Bette Midler, but it became a hit for Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville as a duet under the name "Don't Know Much."

"In the Morning" (1966) and "Morning of My Life" (1971) are the same song under two different titles by the Bee Gees.

The title change, and some slight music tweaks, occurred because Gustav Holst’s estate didn’t want them to record his piece.

“Jack Tarr the Sailor”- The Byrds

    or

“Off To Sea Once More”- Jerry Garcia/David Grisman

(this is a traditional song so it may have been passed down the generations with many different names)

I recently Bought Shady Grove, the Garcia/Grisman album that features Off To Sea Once More. Love The Byrds' version too.

Elton John... the B-side to ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ was called ‘Screw You’ in the UK and the rest of the world...

but for the overly-sensitive North American market, it was re-titled ‘Young Man’s Blues’.

Never mind that was already the title of a classic Who* song...
anything to stop all the church ladies‘ hair catching on fire.

(* by way of Mose Allison)

Under the sub-heading of “working titles”...

Mott The Hoople had a couple... where the bonus track / demo had a different title than the eventual album track.

‘Black Scorpio’ became ‘Momma’s Little Jewel’... ‘Saturday Kids’ became ‘Saturday Gigs’.

Ian Hunter had ‘(God) Advice To A Friend’... which became ‘God (Take 1)’...
and ‘Weary Anger’ became ‘You Nearly Did Me In’.

The single version by the Stooges was also called "I Feel Alright," but you're thinking of "1970."

Prefab Sprout's " Goodbye Lucille No. 1" was called "Johnny Johnny" on the single.

Happens a lot especially for cover versions of old blues or country songs. I always have fun trying to go back to the original titles for a lot of these songs when tagging CD rips. I always try and put the original title in the tag somehow. Today I discovered that the Rolling Stones Prodigal Son was actually a cover of Rev. Robert Wilkins That's No Way To Get Along.

In 1965, United Artists released a new album of instrumentals by George Martin and His Orchestra entitled Help! to tie in with the movie of the same name, as UA didn't have the rights to the actual soundtrack album this time.

According to the first pressing of both the LP's back cover and labels, it contained three "new" Lennon-McCartney songs:
    "Auntie Gin's Theme"
    "That's a Nice Hat (Cap)"
    "Scrambled Egg"

Eventually the labels were revised, and the actual titles of the songs were used:
    "I've Just Seen a Face"
    "It's Only Love"
    "Yesterday"
