The sublime Irish guitarist, Arty McGlynn, has died.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news again today, but earlier today, Arty McGlynn, guitarist extraordinaire, died.

He also played with Enya on her album The Celts.

 

Very sad to hear this. Some of my favourite work of his was with the ‘supergroup’ Patrick Street. And I HIGHLY recommend their same titled first album for the most sparkling, contagious Irish ‘folk’ music I have heard.
