M/A/R/R/S This mashup of two British groups, A.R. Kane and Colourbox, released one single (as both 7" and 12") with two songs: "Pump Up the Volume" and "Anitina (The First Time I See She Dance." The former was a huge hit and a high-water mark of the Wild West era of sampling.
A band from New York City named Secret Agent brought out one single only, in the late 1980s. The 45 contained some original track 'In My Shoes' backed with a studio jam of 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight'. 'In My Shoes' is a nice track IMO. I even recorded an own version of it a while ago. Anyway, Discogs only shows this pic of the single. Reportedly must've been a promo release only.
Life Without Buildings (1999-2002) only did one album ("Any Other City", 2001) i.e. if you don't count "Live At The Annandale Hotel" which was released in 2007. Their debut was reissued for Record Store Day 2014.

Most of the bands on the this compilation only released one single. Warfaring Strangers - Acid Nightmares [Numero Group]
The Semantics, featuring Will Owsley on guitar, Millard Powers on bass (now in Counting Crows) and Zak Starkey on drums. One of my favorite power pop albums of all-time.
A great lost power-trio classic. (There was another album a few years ago, but a key member was missing so I wouldn't count it). The recent Light in the Attic reissue is killer and includes two outtakes.
