You've got to love the PayPal offer to finance it at 12 easy installments of $46.

Dunno; maybe there is a collector market for this and I'm unaware of it.

  5. The real answer? Overpriced auctions are often used as a cover for money laundering. The same thing goes on in the art market, by the way.

There has been a rumor floating around that Jeff Bezos is an Indian cassette collector and Sneaky Pete is his idol

Behold! The gentleman has dropped the price to $349!

eBay: "You save 30% off original price!"

It's the traveler edition. It comes with marbles, a jigsaw puzzle and a bottle of curry powder all packed in a suitcase with sticker of Kali.

He's in India. I'll bet he thinks he's listing in rupees.

Been going on for decades. As far back as I can recollect. I see this domestically too. Lots of reasons: insurance valuation purposes, wishful thinking, a joke, foreign sellers tapping into western collecting, and so on.

Outrageous asking prices with Make Offer available is like having a free featured ad. It will show up at the top of search results when sorting by "prices from high to low."

You haven't really heard "Hippie Boy" until you've heard it on an acceptable condition Indian clamshell cassette.

I always find it interesting that often watched items get relisted when they don’t sell for an even higher starting price or BIN

It used to be the higher asking price was to cover the relisting fee. But now I see things listed for twice as much as they were listed originally.

Odd, because I generally search low to high.
