Other than Frankie Valli and some of their hits, I didn't know a whole lot about the group until last year, when I saw a production of Jersey Girls. I certainly didn't know that little Joe Pesci was involved with that gang.

I'm surprised that a thread wasn’t created earlier.

As a huge and longtime fan of The 4 Seasons, this news (even with Tommy at 92 years old) comes with great sadness. Their music brings back so many memories and they still live loud and proud on my many jukeboxes and sound systems on a weekly basis. Tommy was clearly the group's early manager (aka their ball buster!) and if you didn't have the bands money ready when they arrived to play back in the day, you had real life Tommy DeVito to whip you back into shape pretty quickly, if you know what I mean? Sadly, his gambling and other bad habits got him and the band into terrible financial difficulties, which Frankie had to tour endlessly to recover their losses. In the end, I doubt that Frankie, Bob, Nick or Joe Long would have wanted to do it without Tommy DeVito? May he rest in peace.

Sad to hear .. great band. Although my favorite era of the band is The Who Loves You era( of which Tommy was not part of) nothing but mucho respect to him.

As an aside this was the last thread I would have expected to see a “ fight” break out in but I guess some people are ultra passionate about the Four Seasons!

Too bad the original Seasons didn't reunite to sing together while they could. Doesn't seem to be a big deal in their world but that sound was irreplaceable.

Sad news. Being from the Tristate, the original Seasons were rock royalty. RIP Tommy.

With all the politics in the news, I missed this so I'm glad it was posted now.

Rolling Stone hasn't even acknowledged Tommy's passing. Pitiful.
