    Oh I see! Good thinking.
But I won't listen to anything that excludes the very necessary two minutes of silence.

That shouldn’t be hard. Earliest this thing would come out is at the end of 2021 in my mind. Or never.

I think perhaps pictures of the possible test pressings, podcasts that talk about Bellman cutting the vinyl, things like that may force Tool's hand. Hopefully sooner than later. Maybe all of the reissues will be deluxe book like editions of varying number of LP's, CD's and dare c I dream, Blu Ray's. Something like the STP deluxe editions, which I really like.

I'll never intentionally buy or listen to vinyl again, and even I'm tired of Tool's vinyl beluga whales!

Supply chains remain a huge issue in the vinyl industry. Record pressing plants are backed up for months and knowing Tool's standards for packaging it could still be a while. I know other bands that have approved test pressings and the vinyl edition of the album comes out 8+ months later. If I was a betting man I would say 2022 is when we see this thing. I can wait though.

Besides analog jazz releases, the ONLY vinyl I'd pony up for coming up are Tool releases but yea, I hear ya. Vinyl has jumped the shark for 98% of what gets released - it's turned into collector cards, special editions and variant collections. And the QC is god awful.

I had convinced myself that "Culling Voices" was my least favourite Tool tune and then I gave it a listen again the other day. Good tune!
I like this whole album with Pneuma-Invincible-Descending being the masterpiece centerpiece.

Same here, didn't love Culling Voices at first.
It's still my least-favorite if I had to pick one, but I really dig it now. The vocals are really nice.
Loved this album from the first listen, AND it has aged very well.

Happy 2nd Birthday to this album. Still feels fresh and new. I still like to put it on regularly.

But damn, how the hell are we still without a vinyl release? „Vinyl version coming soon“ was part of the RCA press release 2 years ago. Definitely the TOOL-version of „soon“.

I actually just listened to this album yesterday, totally forgot the anniversary. Had to take a break after every song cause the limited dynamic range was fatiguing my ears.

Well, Ænima did have a vinyl release. It just hasn't had a re-release. For some reason.

Exactly! That means it should be even easier for them to press/re-release.

Not sure why Undertow got a re-release and not Ænima. Has to have something to do with rights.

Crazy to think Analogue Productions most likely has the metal parts from the never released Classic Records pressing. Licensing not being an issue, seems like an easy money maker for AP.

Yeah…and I don’t get this idea that they’re pro-analog etc. A lot of people said that about Pearl Jam and how many of their albums are done analog to vinyl?

I think the fact they just missed out the vinyl release for Fear Inoculum says a lot. Then a lot of their pressings are not well done….most Tool and Puscifer has been pressed at United. My copy of Undertow had to go back. I’ve seen better looking vinyl that’s 50 years old…

This album still sounds so good after 2 years. My first encounter with Tool and I still love this album. Pneuma and 7empest are truly epic and still have the same great impact as 2 years ago.
