Yup, a very intense social drama by british director Andrea Arnold. Michael Fassbender plays an abusive father in a frightening smaller part.

Sadly, not yet seen Shame. I mean to.

Three of the films in my list are Australian, the first half of the decade was very good for Aussie cinema, there was another four or five Aussie films (Chopper, Wolf Creek, Little Fish, Somersault and Rabbit Proof Fence) that just missed my list.

To be honest I’d rather see Viggo Mortensen, in the follow up ..he was perfect in the original 2007 film.

How did I forget Surveillance? I watched it again last night and when logging in today, had to see if I had included it in my list.

    Of course I hadn't.

Not sure what I would remove to include it....maybe Funny Games or Moon.

I also forgot Let Me In/Let The Right One In.

For anyone who never heard of it...

    Surveillance (2008 film) - Wikipedia

I know it bombed and I see it gets a 55% on RT and a 6.3 on IMDB.

I wonder if that twist played a role in its lackluster reception.

    Anyways....I loved it.
