Six votes for blow up? Not saying you are wrong, but I do not get the appeal of this film in any way.

Completely forgot about one of my 60s faves, The Fugitive Kind (1960, Lumet). To be frank, Marlon Brando was miscast. The part of Valentine Xavier calls for a Chet Baker type, imo, not Brando's gentle rascal persona which he had to have stifled considerably for the role. Plus, he looks like a slugger for the St. Louis Cardinals, not a cabaret/saloon blues musician. Otherwise, the casting and direction ate excellent.

There are too many great movies for mere lists, but I'll tip in two foreign favorites, Danger Diablolik an Erotissimo.

:agree: That is precisely why I included brief commentaries in my lists for all these threads (including the 80's one!), and artificially limited myself to those films I have personally found to be the most re-watchable over time, regardless of any nods or concessions to objective quality. Of course, this basically means I left off a lot of great titles that tend to be "one-and-done" type of affairs for me, so I have been very much enjoying reading other people's lists, especially those which also provide a little extra insight.

Please do share your top 25 for this decade, plus the others if possible, and thank you for providing your two foreign favorites. I am unfamiliar with those, and will be curious to check 'em out. :)
