Hmm well outside of local bands:

    Bob Dylan
    Phish
    Flaming Lips
    Widespread Panic
    Willie Nelson

Thats my offhand recollection but I could be wrong. These are the acts I saw at lest a dozen times.

I've seen Phish 23 times since 1992, all up and down the east coast.
I've seen White Denim and the Flaming Lips 4 times.
I've seen Grateful Dead, Rush, Los Lobos, Bob Dylan, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, They Might be Giants, and Dave Matthews Band 3 times. To be fair, I never saw DMB on purpose, but he opened for everyone who came through Virginia in the mid 90's. I saw him open for Phish, WSP, and 3rd billed on the H.O.R.D.E. tour.

I've seen the Dead, but I am very jealous of The Church and Echo & the Bunnymen. WoW! Really great bands, and no doubt they were typically great!

    No Deliverance tour was great.

Bush was my first proper concert, in 96. Goo Goo Dolls and No Doubt opened-they did not win me over!

For free both times. The 2nd time was at a rib festival and they were not totally into it, but before that it was for free at the Indy 500 speedway and my wife still has a picture of Art and her. He even signed an ice chest because we had nothing else to sign. I love them too, and they are the one band that when I saw them live I could look around and everyone was mouthing the lyrics.

Yep. I've always felt a weird connection to Art. His lyrical subject matter connects...feels like a long lost brother to me.
