Loved Ex Machina. Discovered it at the same time I was watching West World season 1, and was super freaked out by the double-twist that at first glance had the androids appearing much more "human" than the humans. Until you peel back a couple layers.

    My list would include:
    Interstellar
    Ex Machina
    Hail Caesar
    1917
    Sicario
    Prometheus

    Runners up:
    Contagion
    Dunkirk
    Ballad of Buster Scruggs
    Guardians of the Galaxy
    Avengers I-IV

He was indeed, but he played a bit of a jerk. That was by design to make both Caleb and the audience relate better to the creation than the creator until it was too late.

Anyway, you just reminded me of another Oscar Isaac film that belonged on my list: Inside Llewyn Davis.

One day, why not select the films that are cited several times on both threads and make a 21st century TOP 10 or 20 without ranking the movies of course since there are two different threads? But you have to take an equivalent number of posts (even ones that don't contain 10 films) from each decade otherwise there is an imbalance.

Even if one decade far outweighs another, don't worry ... In fact that decade will be the weaker of the two! Because this decade will contain only few films which marked the members. The decade that will be the least present in this TOP will be the best because more diverse.

I know it takes work. If you do this merging one day, don't forget to say that it is according to the members of SHF. lol

Actually ranking is a good idea, of course value is subjective.. gives a indication on the forum members true evaluation of the film. Your welcome to start the thread yourself!!!!

It takes a little more TOP from the members.
I agree to help you someday count the iterations of each popular movie and apply the necessary balancing.
Don't let the threads die then. I will reactivate the other by posting a trailer.

I had to deduct 1 point from Once Upon In A Time In .. Hollywood for the way they depicted Bruce Lee otherwise it’s in my top 10.
