Hello - any tube heads know of a site or reference source of how to decode date codes on tubes? I'd sure appreciate a lead if you folks know of such a place - thanx!
There may be something at this site that is of use http://www.worldtubeaudio.com/directory/directory.htm this is one of the sites that can be accessed from above http://w1.871.telia.com/~u87127076/tabeller/index.htm All the best - Andrew
Wowser - I'd need a lifetime to browse the gzillion sites - whew, if you like tubes you'll probably spend days looking at all the links...
This page summarizes the way the Mullard/Philips/Valvo codes work and has links to spreadsheets that have all the model codes. Another link goes to a JPG that has the letter used for each different factory. Mullard codes Regards, Geoff
Wow again - thanks Geoff! This sharing of info is what makes Steve's sandbox a great place to play - excellent info for demystifying the wacky codes on those particular tubes...
