Anyone complaining that U2 aren't hitting your city might want to wait for the second leg of the tour. I am sure, just as they did in 2001, they will come back and hit more cities on the back end of the tour.

This is correct. There'll be a fall leg that should hit many more cities.

I'm mostly annoyed that they originally promised fanclub members that we'd be able to get presale tickets for any show we wanted, but now we can only prebuy ONE concert! :realmad: If I'd known that... well, I probably would have rejoined anyway, but it still sucks!

But only one NYC show.....and the two in NJ don't count.
It is a royal pain to get in and out of the Meadowlands and parking is as almost as expensive as NYC.
With NYC shows I am able to atleast take the train in.
looks like no U2 on my schedule for 2005.

If you look closely at the schedule there are many "holes" around certain cities. My assumption is that those holes are there to add dates when the announced shows sell out.
If you look at the Garden's schedule you will see that May 20th is open - so it is possible that a sell-out of May 21 will open up May 20 at the Garden. The Continental Arena's schedule in May is wide open, so it might even be possible that an extra date be added there. (I looked at each venue's schedule by going to the appropriate web-site.)

Personally, I live in NJ and the Meadowlands is only 20 minutes from me. That is where I plan to go.

Yeah, they're set for multiple nights in every city. Our Denver date lists only one, but we have the next night as well.

Fall probably. They usually never miss Hartford when they do the arenas.

Folks need to relax. As noted, there's a fall leg to the tour, one that seems likely to be more extensive. If U2 skip your town then, go ahead and bitch. Right now it's too early to get upset...

I should have started this thread...but I'm in Vegas
like colin has said they will be in the states for more than 2 1/2 months this fall/winter so if your city or area is not on the first leg they will be there on the the third leg

I bought 4 tickets for the Glasgow show. Including the $40 to join for the pre-sale the total cost was $751.

I bought tickets for PA show. I was there 10:00 sharp for the presale and had to keep searching for half an hour because all the tickets I was getting sucked. I just gave up after 30 minutes. The first pair of tickets I was offered where behind the stage! I dont think joining U2.com for the presale was worth it. We were supposed to get the 'best available seats', my *ss. :realmad:

Yeah, $40 for the privilege of purchasing tickets to ONE show. Not too happy about that. Of course, we did get the U2.com metal keychain that's the size and weight of North Dakota . . . . :nyah:  :shake:

For those who have to await the third leg, I offer this. The band will be a well-oiled machine by then. Having seen them both early and later during the Achtung Baby shows and Pop, they didn't really hit their stride until they had a dozen or more shows under their belt.

Can anyone post the US ticket prices? The web site said that US prices were $49.95 but top UK price is 85 pounds (about $158) with a booking fee on top. I shall be rather annoyed if I'm paying three times the US tour prices.

49.95 on the floor, 90 to 160 reserved.

It varies depending on the venue, I think. I got reserved seats (seating) at 49.95.

I was lucky enough to score first row loge seats for the last Boston show (and last show of leg 1) through the U2.com presale. The $40 membership fee was well spent in my case!
