World Gone Wrong - more traditional songs from early 90’s Bob. He mentions in the liner notes that Jerry showed him Two Soldiers.

Finally listening to Tuscaloosa by Neil Young + Stray Gators.

To which @Dr. Luther's Assistant replied in another thread, "How about that Out on the Weekend? Tremendous."

To which I replied, something along the lines of, "I'll have to go back to that. The song I've noticed most so far is "Time Fades Away."

Actually, I also really like "Lookout Joe," and "New Mama" because I'm not really familiar with these tunes, although I've probably heard them before.

To the extent any post is at least an implied endorsement, this is a fantastic recommendation. I think for those who find World Music largely inaccessible, Tinariwen might just prove a palatable portable for Western tastes honed on RnR. I wasn't long out of school and working in NYC when I saw them at SummerStage (I think), which couldn't have been later than 2010-11. Became a substantial fan of their varied lineups. I particularly love "Tassili", which came out within the same year-or-so of my first show; I recall it won a Grammy and the standing group appeared on the "real" Colbert (i.e., Report :shh: ).

For the uninitiated, some desert electric:

I mean -- Out on the Weekend ain't exactly a complicated song -- I just thought that they found a nice little trough while executing it. It doesn't hurt that I've always had a (possibly inflated) affection for that song.

Yeah, I just need to listen again, I was probably doing something while it was on.

This is a good set. I haven't heard "Don't Be Denied" too much, either.

My brother is a Neilhead, he even has a "More barn!" t-shirt, but he said he thought this album was just more of the same, whatever that means.

So I pruned all of my Neil posts out of The Grateful Thread. It was like doing yard work.

The great thing about these Neil live releases being so short, is you can play it again that much faster. And actually remember what's on it.

    Great album!!!

It's like a poppier version of Nirvana with a noticeably helping of The Doors thrown in the mix

in my opinion one of the all time rocknroll songs. He knows how to show the despair in people in the mundane day to day life. hes always been great at that.

She sits on the porch of her daddy's house
But all her pretty dreams are torn,
She stares off alone into the night
With the eyes of one who hates for just being born
