As cool as it is to spin clean vintage classical records from the early-mid '50's, you're absolutely right, digital rules with classical. And as much as I love jazz on vinyl, a well mastered jazz CD is often times preferable for the same reasons.

    2021, Trouble In Mind Records

Mostly straightforward guitar-driven rock album from this New Zealand band. Somewhat unexpected coming from Trouble In Mind, which is usually more experimental in nature. Not a bad record though, with solid songs and great energy.

As much as I enjoy my current amp/speakers, when I see vintage equipment like that I start thinking about changing it all up. I bet it sounds awesome.

Haven't been there in many years, one of the truly great record shops.

Heard that and was shocked. That place was in institution, they had live music there all the time. That shop was there as long as I can remember, maybe the owner just retired.

New Riders Of The Purple Sage, Original Album Classics. Some good value in this little CD set. Now playing the s/t debut.

That’s exactly what happened - the owners retired. Yes, it was absolutely an institution. I spent many hours and many lunch hours there.

A few years ago they got a big lot of official GD releases in and were promoting it online. Someone mentioned it in The Grateful Thread so I went and checked it out and picked up a few. It’s a bit far from me to go regularly but I was glad I checked it out.

This one is good. I researched which CD masterings were used before I bought it but I don’t remember what I learned other than it helped me decide to get it. But I know that the s/t is the same as my Columbia Legacy CD with the bonus tracks. For the others they are the only version I have.

Wow, this Mission of Burma debut EP is incredible! I feel like I should be embarrassed to admit this is my first time through. I've heard "That's When I Reach For My Revolver" a few times of course, but the entire record is ridiculous!! I've got to try the following album next.

Vs is really good, but not quite as immediately accessible as that first EP and the Acadamy Fight Song single. Still, I think you will dig.

My cousin's husband was in love with this album when it came out. I definitely like it.

Still on the Zappa box. I like it. It's got all his modes at the time.
