Spoon - Lucifer on the Sofa (Matador CD, 2022) I'm really digging it! Typically Spoon albums are slow growers for me, but this one hits right away.
Rooster Rag... because Little Feat not only was/is "Sailin' shoes" or "Little Feat". I like that Rooster Rag. It has, like most (all?) of the L.F. albums, a lot of power, R&B and so on. Yeaah! it's a good one. A very Good one!
I'm sure that Allan Holdsworth must have blown more than a few minds at Montreux '74 when he basically materialized out of nowhere to totally rip the top off the universe with Soft Machine:
Bob Dylan Stockholm 29 April 1966. This completes my first run through The 1966 Live Recordings. Time well spent! I didn’t think to blend in the audience recordings on the last five discs chronically until I was already a few shows in so I just stuck with the disc order. The sound quality of some of those is pretty rough so I can see why they tacked them on at the end but still good to have.
Moody Blues Always loved them. Two great albums, here: "Days of Future Passes" "To our Children's children's children" One Gold, one SACD, both of good quality. Very nice, ideed!
Cheating here: Reading PLEASE K*LL ME: THE UNCENSORED ORAL HISTORY OF PUNK by Gillian McCain and Legs McNeil. Excellent book.
Laurie Anderson Live at Town Hall New York City Life on a string Nice stuff, but non THAT EASY..., experimental & Electronics.... it's nice, yes, but I don't play them a lot...
What’s the story with the correction? I have that set, but haven’t played it yet and hadn’t realized there’d been a problem.
The audio is messed up on the BBC DVD but the rest of the discs are ok. Here’s the information on requesting a replacement disc: https://neilyoungarchives.com/news/1/article?id=Free-BBC-DVD-Replacement
I missed out on the CD set too. I wasn’t ever able to find it for a reasonable price so last year I just bought the download from Qobuz instead. I think it was $37.
