What have been the sales numbers for this special Imagine release? It's now only $72 on Amazon....$63 used from Amazon Marketplace which seems like a steal. Are they moving a lot of units? Or is it a decent-to-slightly-disappointing seller? Yoko may not do more deluxe releases if this one isn't a big hit.
Maybe she can package the surplus with a jigsaw puzzle, a few postcards and stream it from a dripping cloud to flog the dead horse hey.
From RSD 2019 - april 13 John Lennon’s Imagine [Raw Studio Mixes] will be released as a Limited Edition on heavyweight 180-gram black vinyl for Record Store Day 2019. These mixes capture the exact moment John and The Plastic Ono Band recorded each song raw and live on the soundstage located at the center of Ascot Sound Studios at John & Yoko’s home in Tittenhurst. The tracks are devoid of effects (reverb, tape delays, etc.) offering a unique, unparalleled insight & an alternate take on the record. These mixes have been pressed in the original album sequence appearing for the first time on vinyl. This is a great set at regular price, and a steal at the sales prices being posted lately! Listened again today. I love the surround content and mixing of it. Surprised to come back to this thread to not find much discussion of the music once everyone got it. I really hope that plastic ono band gets a similar treatment.
Yoko is celebrating 50th anniversary of the Wedding Album this year and so hopefully Plastic Ono Band is lined up for Fall 2020! I haven’t played the Imagine box in couple of months but they did a great job of it - the new remixes, outtakes, films, books - couldn’t have created a more immersive experience for the fans! And most importantly, it did not break the bank

There's 15 tracks on disc 3 of 4, but this RSD release only includes the first 10, which are the "Raw Studio Mixes" of the master takes in the original album's running order.
I only bought the single CD of Imagine 2018 and the bluray. This RSD album is a must for me. If I can find it!

By “initial tracking” do you mean that all takes of “how do you sleep” “how” “Imagine” “oh my love” were recorded? Including master takes? If so it’s a shame they didn’t release that as a bonus blu ray!
