At least one of the Paris concerts in 2017 was filmed. If (and only "if") there'll be a live DVD included on the so-called limited edition, my bet it would be that concert.

I would be all for it.* But going by the song titles integrated into the social media posts above it may not check out. Have they played "Rock and a Hard Place" or "Mixed Emotions" since 2012?

*One recent discarded project (only rumored online, admittedly) was a live set of all the guest singers who joined them on stage starting with the 50th and Counting tour...

There's no B side for this RSD release. See here:

"We’ll be celebrating Record Store Day this year by releasing a limited edition 10’’ one sided, coloured vinyl - featuring ‘She’s A Rainbow’ recorded live at U Arena Paris 25/10/17!

This limited release will be available for one day only on Record Store Day - Saturday April 13th 2019. Find out more here."

Oh and this would be a sneaky way for them to slip in some new songs without putting out a new album. Just like they did with 40 Licks and Grrrr!

Reports are that they are struggling to finish the new album that they've been working on for several years now. Maybe they'll slap on the 3 or 4 strongest tracks onto "Honk"?

    Wouldn't put it past them....

If I recall correctly they performed at least one (or maybe both) at one of the shows circa 2013/2014 but I could very well be wrong. More than likely it'll just be another comp, something for the general public, not necessarily those of us who are more 'seasoned' fans

And also judging by the Twitter and Facebook teasers using the studio versions of tracks (albeit those post-1971), it could be a typical post-1971 best-of with the ABKCO-era tunes being recent live versions. Odd decision if that's the case

They did "Mixed Emotions" at Desert Trip. "Rock And A Hard Place," I don't remember them ever doing it since the 2012 reboot.

Very underwhelming. Given what's in the archives.
    Where's the new album?

No idea. Keith recently mentioned it'd be done some time this year. They've been in and out of the studio for years. A greatest hits package out later in the year doesn't bode well for a new album release from my view.

Endless repackagings of greatest hits are part of the game, but what a hideous title and artwork.

Lemme guess. As others have hinted upthread, there'll be two or three new tunes shoved onto a reconfigured version of GRRR! and Forty Licks. Disappointing.

I love the Stones, always have and always will, but for anyone other than a completist, this is about as underwhelming a release as I can imagine. One whole live song, wow.

For what it’s worth - a way better cover than “Blue and Lonesome”.

Haha funny thought: what if Honk is the new studio album? A 3CD set that includes all the songs they scrapped going back to Voodoo Lounge.

It's obviously not. Let's just enjoy the thought though.

I'm relatively new to stones (later-era) music - so this compilation will hopefully give me an idea of their 80s and 90s catalog, as I was unable to purchase the 5cd Grrrr cd. 40 licks isn't enough in terms of a compilation length,
