US pressing of pink floyd UMMAGUMMA with gigi cover??

According to wiki, early US pressings had the gigi cover intact. I've never seen one....is this really right, or does anyone know any more details?

Pardon my ignorance but what do you mean by "gigi" cover? I have a US copy but I'm not sure when it was pressed.

*Edit* I just looked it up on the Wiki. DOH! It's been a while since I've looked at my copy and I'll have to pull it out.
I'll have a look and see if the Gigi cover is there or not.

The "Gigi" Lp cover on the floor was replace with a blank white square after early pressings on UK Harvest, for legal reasons.

He is asking if this is also true for the US Harvest early pressings...

whos stupid idea was "Special Buy!!!!!!!! Contains 2 complete lps"- i know the whole double-album thing was new back then, but jeez-- and woudnt it of made more sense to put it in the black white lp spot where the took out Gigi?

 

They replaced "Gigi" with the "White" album.

 

Never really paid attention to it until you brought it up, but I have the pressing which has that printed on the cover as well. Oh well.

I know, if they're going to muck up the artwork with the "Special Buy! Contains Two Complete LPS" text, they should have at least repeated the text above Roger, then above Nick, then above Rick...!
