Hi guys, on my neverending search for great sounding, nice looking and affordable (vintage) speakers I discovered these wonderful sounding active speakers from Sweden. The Audio Pro brand was as unbeknownst to me as their patented ACE bass system. But the ACE sytem (whatever that is) works really well. Those rather smallish speakers have an amazing bass and do all other things well too. Really great speakers! Since my speaker stands didn't fit them I decided to build some wooden stands that would go well with the speakers without looking too dominant. Well, they aren't perfect, but I like how they came out.

How do they sound? Crazy to put so much tech in driving that small speaker. Seems almost a gag. Love it.

I have tried over 20 different speakers (passive and active). Mostly vintage, but also some new ones. These sound beatiful. The bass goes down to 30 hz and is full and precise soundig. Not boomy or hyped. The Philips driver for the mids is excellent and the tweeter is very good too. Detailed but not shrill. I'd say they are very coherent speakers producing true hifi sound, rather "warm" or musical than analytic, but very precise.

The ace bass is a clever axtive solution to gain bass and importantly lower distortion. It is far more than just an amp and woofer.

How did you join the sides of the wood base that you made?

Beautiful. I've never seen those speakers before, but I've seen that album before. It's my sentimental favorite Doors album.

Sorry for the late reply. I used big screws and glue. Solid as a rock.
