vinyl editions Made in Holland, from CBS or A&M anyone having problems with the covers? over the years some start to get sticky.

 

Yup, as a Dutch I have lots of these and I recognize the problem. It's propably due to the kind of paper that was used, esp, during the latter half of the 70s and first half of the 80s.

It's best to keep them separated from each other by placing them in soft mylar outer sleeves. When it comes to gatefold sleeves, the inner side sometimes tends to stick as well until it becomes unseparable and you can't open the gatefold without damaging the jacket. I speak from experience, unfortunately. By now, I am aware of the problem and usually stick a simple A4 (or a 30x30 cm) sheet in between the gatefold.
