Wanted Opinions: Vintage (Advent) vs. Modern (Focal) Speakers

Based on my (obviously limited) listenings in recent years, my suggestion if you must have vintage speakers would be to look for a clean set of Dynaco A25's. They show up on Craigslist with some regularity.

The great thing about these is, the drivers can be replaced with new SEAS ones from Madisound and elsewhere. The tweeter protection caps are no problem to get either.

They can be 'end game' ...

For me the test is will the speakers play Blonde on Blonde?
